Question?

So, I have all these old bridesmaids dresses from weddings past...like 4 years plus, that I've never worn since the weddings. I wanted to keep them just in case, but I feel that it is time to part with them...especially since I'm consolidating before I move more of my crap over to John's house.  Their styles really aren't too bad and they may even work for some homecoming dance.  I'd like to donate them.  Are there any places that are good for that kind of donation or would Salvation Army work for that?

A local radio station here in Charlotte hosts a formal dress drive each spring so that girls from local high schools who do not have the money to buy a dress can come and "shop" for a dress to wear to prom. Short dresses are in style for prom these days - so you could always get in touch with 95.1 Kiss FM in Charlotte and see about maybe mailing them to the station???

Just a suggestion!

Another idea, one thing that I and my sisters have done with my bridesmaid dresses is to make pillows out of them. That way you get to keep & use the memory, but not the dress!

Johnny and Jayde are starting to collect dresses for Operation Princess Project this weekend, they're even giving receipts for tax write offs :)

We have a program here called "Cinderella Dreams" that donates dresses to high school girls for prom. I bet there is something like tht around you. And of course there's GoodWill, who will give you a receipt for a tax write off.
